Since Hinkley, PG&Ehas been a disaster
Re: “PG&E debacle calls for new PUC approach” (Editorial, Eastbaytimes.com, Oct. 30):
Thank you to the East Bay Times for blasting both the CPUC and PG&E.
PG&E has been a disaster since Hinkley, when they dumped chromium-6 in the water from 1952-1966 and same issue with Kettleman City. The movie “Erin Brockovich” explains that.
Then a bankruptcy in 2001 and the explosion in 2010 in San Bruno.
The state of California and PG&E have one thing in common and that is both receive billions in revenue on an annual basis and we have a failing infrastructure. The worst part is that the ratepayers will take the brunt of it.
The failures of California are mounting and maybe we should place California on a performance improvement plan.Michael McWaltersAlviso
