But if Season 28 of “Dancing With the Stars” continues to follow form, it might not be who we expect it to be.
ABC’s ballroom competition has had its share of mind-boggling eliminations and roller-coaster moments this fall. So it might be difficult to predict, with utmost confidence, the new champion.
It’s even been puzzling for veteran oddsmaker and author James Murphy, who tells us that, what DWTS has done this season “is like NFL commissioner Roger Goodell awarding a playoff spot to the Cincinnati Bengals despite the fact that 31 teams have a better record.”
But we all have our favorites right? And the competition has come down to four couples in the finals:
— Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten
— Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson
— Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko
— Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber
So who do you think it will be? Tell us who your choice is by voting in our poll and/or leaving a comment.
According to ABC, for this last week of the competition, the opening number will consist of the remaining couples dancing to “Last Dance” by Donna Summer. There will be two rounds of dancing where each couple will do one repeat performance from earlier this season. And in the last element of competition, the couples will perform the most anticipated dance of the season—the fan-favorite freestyle routine.
Also, Cher will drop by to perform “The Beat Goes On,” while Pitbull and Ne-Yo performs “3 to Tango” and “Me Quedaré Contigo.”
In addition, the ballroom and viewing audiences will have a first look at the new season of “The Bachelor,” and the winner of the “American Idol” fan vote will be revealed live. Eliminated celebrities from this season will return to the ballroom for a final number.
The “Dancing With the Stars” Season 28 finale airs at 8 p.m. Monday on ABC.
